With Hundred Schools of Thought in Chinese culture as the storyline, a series of graphic decorative paintings are used to show the classic stories of various schools, giving an elegant literary background in the east. The lighting creates a soft sensory effect, taking in the quietness and tranquility conferred by nature, and is taken from a variety of environmentally friendly materials and green buildings to integrate nature, space, and light and shadow.
Continue readingPingshan Cultural Cluster - Book Mall, taking the local Hakka enclosed house culture as the design concept and the pattern of round outside but square inside as the main feature, has its space divided into "Square" and "Round" zones. The square zone is oriented to young people, the overall layout of which expands around the central activity area. Inspired by "Diaolou" (tower building), we adopt the highly structured facade of Diaolou to create characteristic walls for the atrium. The use of mirror finish ceiling makes the image extend infinitely, activating the memory to the whole space.

The new two-generation residential life, Chinese Learning as the Fundamental Structure, Western Learning for Practical Use, not only fulfills the Western independent spirit, but further caters for the mutual watch-out between the two generations, as well as the emotional communication between the seniors and the grandchildren in a family.
Continue readingIt is a design case for a resort hotel with an indoor area of 16,000 square meters and 19 floors. The hotel is in the Baianshan National Forest Park of Jiangxi Province. The designer creates ethnic-cultural characteristics that given the hotel a unique personality. Moreover, the designer designed a water-saving system for the hotel’s hot-spring bath in the air and each guest room. The system guarantees the user experience of tourists and effectively saves the natural hot-spring resources.
Continue readingThe Rossmore Penthouse is part of the new contemporary luxury apartment building located in Hancock Park, Los Angeles. The interior of the penthouse boasts a 3-level extravagant unit inspired by Art Deco elements. The use of natural materials and CLT provides a luxurious, airy feel that merges old-world charm with contemporary design. The unit features a sculptural staircase that wraps around an open-sky garden, inviting the serenity of the outdoors into the penthouse - whether it be a bright sunny day or a calm rainy evening.
